I'm Rob Myers, Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and founder of Kobe Reiki.
I practise Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki, having trained at the Reiki Academy London under Torsten A. Lange.
For me, Reiki is about creating the space to pause, receive and experience the practice for yourself. My approach is grounded in traditional Reiki teachings while keeping the experience welcoming, calm and accessible.
Whether you're completely new to Reiki or already have experience with the practice, you don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to expect.
You can simply come as you are.
My journey into Reiki began during the pandemic.
Leaving my 9-to-5 career created the space for me to explore a different direction in life. During that time, I became increasingly interested in spirituality, self-development and practices that encouraged a deeper connection with myself.
Reiki eventually became an important part of that journey.
What started as a personal exploration led me to train professionally in Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki at the Reiki Academy London, under Reiki Master/Teacher Torsten A. Lange.
My training changed the way I understood Reiki and, in many ways, changed the way I approached myself.
One of the lessons that stayed with me was simple:
Reiki isn't about forcing an outcome or trying to fix someone.
It's about creating the conditions to pause, receive and experience the practice for yourself.
That principle continues to shape the way I practise today.
Through Kobe Reiki, I offer 1:1 Traditional Japanese Reiki sessions in Bispham, Blackpool, as well as Distance Reiki worldwide.
You don't need previous experience with Reiki, and you don't need to follow a particular belief system.
My role is to provide a professional, welcoming space and to practise Reiki in accordance with the traditional teachings and methods I've been trained in.
I'm not here to tell you what your experience should be.
I'm here to practise Reiki and give you the space to experience it for yourself.
Traditional Japanese Reiki is at the heart of Kobe Reiki.
Through my training, I've studied traditional Reiki practices and techniques including Reiji-Ho, Byosen Reikan-Ho and Byogen Chiryo-ho.
These are approaches rooted in the Japanese Reiki tradition and form part of the way I continue to develop my practice.
I believe it's important to respect the origins and traditions of Reiki while presenting the practice in a way that feels accessible to people today.
You don't need to understand every Japanese term before experiencing Reiki.
That's my job to understand.
Your job is simply to arrive with an open mind and see what the experience is like for you.

My training is an ongoing process. Becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher isn't where learning stops — it's where a deeper level of practice begins.
I continue to develop my knowledge, experience and understanding of Reiki through ongoing practice and study.
Whatever your background, beliefs or previous experience with Reiki, you're welcome at Kobe Reiki.
You don't have to know what to expect.
You don't have to be “good” at relaxing.
And you don't need to arrive with the right words to explain why you're curious about Reiki.
Simply come as you are, take some time for yourself and experience the practice in your own way.
If you're curious about Reiki, you can explore the sessions available at Yoga Rise Studio in Bispham, Blackpool, or choose Distance Reiki if you'd prefer to receive from wherever you are.
